3. Principle characteristics
From the analysis of the working mechanism, the three-phase transformer in the case of uniform load, the current voltage of different phases in addition to the 120 ° phase difference, the size of the current voltage, amplitude, frequency and single-phase is the same.
multi-phase transformer
Multi-phase alternating current is usually three-phase alternating current using the balance transformer conversion. There are three basic types of balancing transformers: Scott transformers, Lee Bronk transformers and Wood Bridge transformers.
By cooling form
Transformers can be divided into dry, oil-immersed and gas-filled transformers according to the cooling medium, and can also be divided into spontaneous cooling transformers and evaporative cooling transformers according to the cooling form.
Dry-type transformer
Dry-type transformer refers to the transformer whose core and winding are not immersed in insulating liquid.
The use of air as a cooling medium, belonging to the spontaneous cooling type transformer.
Dry-type transformers are usually divided into open, closed and cast three types.
The main features are:
1, safety, fire prevention, no pollution;
2, high mechanical strength, strong resistance to short circuit;
3, low loss, low noise;
4. Good heat dissipation performance and moisture resistance;
5. The volume and quality are small, and the installation and debugging are convenient.
oil-immersed transformer
Oil-immersed transformer refers to a type of transformer whose windings are soaked in oil, and also belongs to the spontaneous cooling transformer.
Usually divided into self-cooling, air-cooling and forced oil circulation cooling and so on.
Features: Due to the need for fire prevention, oil-immersed transformers are generally installed indoors or outdoors in separate transformers. They have the characteristics of large size, low cost, simple maintenance, good heat dissipation, strong overload capacity, and wide adaptability to the environment.
gas-filled transformer
Gas filled transformer refers to the transformer body in a sealed iron box, the box filled with gas instead of transformer oil of a class of transformers.
This gas usually requires good insulation performance, fast heat transfer, stable chemical properties, commonly used low boiling point of sulfur hexafluoride as a cooling medium, belongs to the evaporative cooling transformer.
Features: It has excellent electrical performance and can be used in places with high safety and fire protection requirements.
Classification according to pressure regulation mode
(1) No-load voltage regulating transformer: It does not have the ability to switch gears with load, and the transformer must be powered off during gear shifting.
(2) On-load voltage regulating transformer: Can switch gears with load.
In addition, according to the frequency can be divided into low frequency transformer, medium frequency high voltage transformer, high frequency transformer.
Can also be classified according to the wire material, there are copper wire transformer, aluminum wire transformer.
